Nothing like waiting until the last minute to do this for "Painting from the Masters"!  This is the June master study I chose for June and I really would have liked to spend more time on it....summer seems to be a little busy with vacations, family visiting, and kids home from school!  I guess this is what summer is about and I do enjoy it immensely!  Hope everyone is having a great summer!

I just finished this painting for my father as commission for his and my step-mother's Anniversary coming up.  They discovered this hotel in St. Remy years ago and loved the striking long driveway with the huge trees casting these beautiful shadows.

The Painted Face

I think I'm finished with this portrait.  I tried working on the form around the face and added some final touches.  I'm hoping this portrait will be accepted for a portrait exhibition starting at the end of the summer at the Richeson Gallery.  Wish me luck!
