Kurt in the boat

Acrylic 11x14
This was a picture taken of Kurt in a canoe down the river at the Biltmore Estate.  I think after 3 hours in the boat, he was getting a little tired...

The Student Art Sale was a great success!

The Christmas night on Salem St. and Student Art sale at the Red Canvas was a lot of fun and great success!  Lots of art was sold, all under $100, and I sold 4 out of 5 of my paintings!  The lavender fields will be staying with me a little longer!  Here's a picture of me in front of my sailboat which was the first one to go!  Thanks for everyone who came and supported me, I have some really good friends and family!

Christmas on Salem Street in Apex, NC

It's that time of year again!  On December 3rd, downtown Apex kicks off the Christmas season with "Christmas on Salem Street".  On Friday night, everyone gathers in front of the Train Depot for carols and the official lighting of Apex’s Christmas tree. With the street closed to vehicles, historic Salem Street becomes a walking mall of twinkling lights and greenery, and shop owners beckon you inside with hot cider, cookies and a chance to win great prizes during Scrooge’s Scavenger Hunt. Listen for the jingle of bells and you’re sure to see Santa arrive in front of the Chamber.

It's also the kick-off for The Red Canvas' annual Student Art Show and Sale!  As a student, you can submit up to 4 paintings, 11" x 14" or smaller, priced under $100!

My new working space!

I just organized our dining room to become my full-time studio space!

Girl in Winter Jacket

This is my daughter when she was about 3 years old and had just gotten a new winter jacket from Tati Doudoune (my sister).  Tati is the one who took the picture and I've always thought it would be a pretty painting.  I brought the painting to an exhibition for the Fine Arts League of Cary at the Cary Ballet Conservatory and it will be there until November 19th!  Acrylic 11x14
