Königstein Ratsstuben II

Oil on 24x30cm wrapped linen canvas
SOLD

Just finished this small commission for a lady who wanted a souvenir of Königstein.  This yellow building is a Greek restaurant called Ratsstuben in the village and it sits right in front of the arch in front of the castle.  It's a very quaint location in the village and I love painting it and the little houses around.

St. Katherine, Oppenheim Germany

Oil on 24x36 in canvas
SOLD

I just finished this large commission for a customer back in the States.  This is a Gothic church in a village not too far from where we live in Germany.  It's a beautiful church in a typical old and quaint german village.  It says the church was most likely started in 1225!

Katharinenkirche, Oppenheim II

Oil on 16x22 canvas paper

This is the 2nd study for the commission.  I like this one better so I will probably do something similar to this for the larger painting.

Katharinenkirche, Oppenheim

Oil on 16x20 canvas

This is a "study" for a larger commission I'm working on.  I say study but I really took it as far as I plan on taking the bigger painting so really I should call it a smaller first try to the bigger painting I will do.  I'm probably going to do a second try before I move on to the 30x40!  This is St. Katherine church in Oppenheim, Germany.  It's a beautiful church is a very quaint older village near Frankfurt.

Kronberg in the Fall II

Oil on 80x140cm deep canvas

I finished this painting recently.  A friend of mine took a really nice picture of a village close by this past fall and I've been meaning to paint it ever since.  It really is a stunning view of this quaint village and the colors this past fall were so vibrant, it was a pleasure to paint!  It's a rather large painting so it took time and a lot of paint! :)  Unfortunately, the first picture has a little bit of glare so I'll try to take a better photo soon...

Kronberg in the Fall

Oil on 24x30cm linen canvas

I painted this scene because I wanted to capture the beautiful colors we've had this fall!  This is the view of a small village close to where we live in Germany, the castle at the top of the village overlooks the houses below and then all the beautiful fall colors all around, truly a beautiful sight!

Annecy, France

Oil on 40x60cm Linen wrapped canvas

We visited family in Annecy a few weeks ago.  Annecy has a very cute old town and canals that go into a large lake, the water is very clear and has this beautiful light green color.  I highly recommend a visit if you can as it is well worth it!
