Bargue Studies

I'm so excited, I have decided to start studying at the Academy of Fine Art in Denmark, Wisconsin starting this week! I'm going to start out studying the foundation studies of Bargue sketches and cast drawings.  I practiced a little today just to get used to vine charcoal.  I'm sure you'll see lots of my studies on this blog and I'm hoping that by the end, we will see vast improvement!

    1. It's good to have dreams Helen, even better when you have the opportunity to follow them whichever way that may be at the present time!

    1. Thanks Darla, it was such a fun first day. I'm not used to being so exact and measuring everything...it'll be good for me!

  3. Hope you enjoy your classes as much as I've enjoyed mine. (I prefer charcoal pencils instead of vine charcoal and just hate the feel of holding charcoal- I'd never be much at pastels!)

    1. Glad to hear you've done it and enjoyed it! I had never used vine charcoal before...kind of messy but I'm fine with it now after using it all morning!

    1. Thanks Azra, it'll probably take a year and a half part-time to do the foundation stuff. Everybody works at their own pace which is perfect for me!
